Claire's mom said I looked skinny! <3 Mrs. Jordan...lots and lots...:)
So, today was awesome, I got to hang with two bestest friends in the whole wide world all day long, so it was sooo amazing! *in manor of Ashlee Simpson when she saw Jessica* "I love my friends!"...
so, last night, Claire came and got me and we went driving around...shit, where'd we go? I don't even remember..............w/e, we went to D'lites which is an ice cream place where Travis (Claire's bf) works after dinner to get sum free ice cream (<3 Trav) and he's so cute, he remembered my name haha...which normally wouldn't be that big of a deal but Claire says she always talks about me and Trav says..."wait...the one in the dress...from the video...right?" so I came in with Claire and he closes his eyes and goes "ummm ASHLEY!" haha I love to stare at him and make him feel uncomfortable...like the judgemental best friend.
then we went up to Blockbuster and rented "Swimming Pool"...damn the French and their lesbionic films! It was QAF but with women...and there was no actualy sex, just LOTS AND LOTS of sexual tension between this old lady and this girl MY AGE...the guy @ the desk said it was "provacative but good"...no, sir, you should have said "hey, there's an old lady who wants to do this skinny blonde french girl, don't pay money for this"....hmmm
Then Claire and I snuck out around 2 to go to Travs, but he was alseep...loser what up with that?! Then we came back and I had about 7 different alcoholic drinks within a 2 minute span...vodka, tequilla, this lemon shit, something called mohawk, cherry something or other, and other things...later I took a pepcid because my stomach was hurting from cramps and I woke up this morning and my tounge was BLACK...no joke...BLACK...and we think it was the mixture of drinks and pepcid...and I had some pamprin earlier, but we don't think it had anything to do with that...
....so this morning, we woke up around 8, went to Jen's to take her her present, grabbed some Starbucks (before we got Jen), then went over to the Record Exchange and got 10 CDs for $35 (music to listen to on the way to the beach) mainly stuff from the 90s...lots of Dawson's Creek type songs...love it love it...and it's gonna be even cooler cuz Claire's parents said she could drive. Then we went to Subway, then to Starbucks again (Jen wanted a Java Chip), then to Goodberry's...oh WAIT! Before all of that, we all went to Target and bought THE CUTEST swimsuits ever...I love mine soooo much yayyyy...but yeah, later, we just ranomly decided to go to the pool, so we went to Jen's uncle's apartments (some really nice apartments in Cary called "The Stradford") and swam/sunbathed...then we took Jen home...I went back to Claire's to hang then we went to see Trav and he said he could fix my shoe SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEET, then I came home...
...and now I'm gonna watch QAF!!! This show is just scary now...some guy is trying to get with Ben because he's wants to infect himself with HIV...these people are knows as "bug chasers" and they, honest to God, go around trying to get infected with HIV because they are so scared they'll get it anyway and they figure it's inevitable (because COME ON, the # of gay males who have HIV is toooo much), so they want to go ahead and get it over with by infecting themselves...it's just...wow...and some people in NYC infect themselves so they can get government aid and housing b/c even some disabled people up there don't get financial aid...it's just sad they feel they have to resort to something like that.

So, do you remember Westry?...well, Heather does, but he's the 21 yr old nephew of my mother's friend down @ Nags Head (the woman who's cottage we're staying at). ANYWAY, there is an upstairs (where the family stays if they wanna come...but usually its just us) and a downstairs (that they rent out to guests...such as myself and my family and Claire)....and guess who's living @ the beach this summer and staying in the same house I am?!!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Just got off the phone with Jen and I can tell something's bothering her, that plus her lj entry about feeling neglected leads me to believe she feels Claire and I are leaving her out. Jen, I love you, you know where you rank on my love chart, but Claire and I ARE NOT trying to leave you out...I don't have a license, so you can't blame me and if you WANT Claire to pop by, CALL HER! I'm not hogging her, rarely ever do I actually ASK her to come over, we just happen to be on the phone when she's bored and she decides to pop by, it's not a planned "lets leave Jenny out" sort of thing.
I don't like playing "guess my problem" with people, if you have a problem with someone you need to let them know. I get flack from people...okay, well only Jenny, about how I dwell on problems and don't let things go...my reasoning is: problems are not going to get solved if you ignore them and give them a rain check. Sometimes you need to sit down on the phone (or IM in most cases these days) and duke it out until its done and its resolved, if you "give it time", it only allows the problem to inflate. The big argument with me, Jenny, and Claire a few months back suffered from not communicating...Jen just wanted to forget about it and drop it, when YOU KNOW problems do not solve themselves and so we didn't resolve anything at that time. Claire and I sat there, even though we were arguing, and talked it out until we were done and everything was out in the open and we understood each other and THAT'S how you solve a problem. Running away from things never work.
This isn't just because of Jenny, everyone does this and it drives me insane...harboring your feelings toward someone only escelate the problem and then it turns into something much bigger. I'm tired of calling Jenny just to have her be short with me, I'm not stupid, we're best friends, I know when she's pissed off.
This is my first real summer in a long time and it would really suck to spend it with her being mad at me...but she's never the one to make the first move, so I guess in my own lame way, I've just made the first move. Hopefull she'll read it and do something, whether it be calling me, or telling me fuck off...either one would be a step in some form of direction. |

I totally didn't mean to wake up at 12! fuckety fuck! I have to get all my stuff ready for the yard sale tomorrow and clean out my desk and I'm sooo groggy...but I don't know why. Tomorrow I have the yard sale, then Claire and I have to volunteer down @ Theatre in the Park for this show...and I don't even know what it's called! It's a play by Tennessee Williams and that's all I know...then we have to do it again on Sunday. The Notebook comes out next Friday HOLY CRAP I'M SO EXCITED! <3 Ryan Gossley and James Marden...*sigh* okay, better go get busy!

I love summer...I thought I'd be bored, what with no job and no mode of transportation, but I'm having fun damnit! I'm actually really happy I don't have a job, I actually want to enjoy my summer for a change. I wish Claire and I got paid for that camp thingie in July...but us volunteering for that is more or less us getting our faces out there, so it'll serve its intended purpose.

I spent the morning watching Dawson's Creek and reading BJD, then Claire called, was bored. She came over, we went to Blockbuster (I said it was fun, not original). The man that was working today is always there when I rent QAF, so he already thinks I'm weird, then Claire was laughing about something and knocked the shelf over...but he was nice...Then we went to Lowes, got Sour Patch (squeee), cereal (see, Claire was deprived of cereal when she was a child, so she likes to splurge on things like Cocoa Puffs and Fruity Pebbles when my child friendly pantry isn't stuffed with good cereal), and we got some Stewarts mmmmmmmmmmm, then came home, watched "Along Came Polly" - cute movie, then watched "Footloose" then discussed going to see HPOT tomorrow...it's weird...you'd think with one of us having a license, we'd find better things to do, but we don't.
so yay going to see HPOT tom...exciting...but not extremely...I like HPOT, but I've never been like "OMFG HPOT CAME OUT!!!!! OOOOMMMMMMMGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!"....but hey! to each his own. |
